List Inspector: Results
User can see the marked screens after finishing
This option determines whether the user can use the slider to step through the finished, marked screens. At this point, if feedback is enabled, then any feedback in the screen will be shown. This option should not be selected for traditional examinations, as a user can finish, view the marked answers and inform other users.
User can print the results
Printing can be enabled and disabled. This also applies to web pages, where a printing link is either included or excluded from the results summary.
User can save results on completion
This option is only relevant when the test, lesson or survey is delivered using Question Tools Exam. This determines whether Question Tools Exam allows the user to save results once finished.
See simple results after the test
Should the results summary be shown. If custom results are being used then this should be selected.
See detailed results after the test
Detailed results show marks for each screen.
Results Priority
If both a results summary and detailed results are available to the user then the user can switch between them. This option determines which will be displayed first — automatically once the test is complete.
Calculation of percentage uses minimum as baseline
Question Tools calculates the percentage correct by assuming that the minimum in a test is zero. This option changes this and forces Question Tools to calculate the percentage using the true minimum. Consequently, if the tests you set have a minimum score of zero then this option will have no effect. The use of this option can probably be best understood by considering an example.
Imagine that you have the job of setting a simple test for some people whose ability and confidence is limited. You might want to arrange the scores in the screens so that even if the user gets everything wrong they still get at least 30 marks. If the maximum score is 100 then this user will be shown to have scored 30% (because Question Tools has assumed zero to be the baseline for calculating the percentage).
A mathematically inaccurate display of percentage may be of benefit for simple tests with low-confidence users, but it would not be appreciated in other situations. If the minimum score a user can achieve is not zero (such as -10 or +20) then the Calculation of percentage uses minimum as baseline option will provide an accurate percentage correct figure, if this is what is required.
Show minimum and maximum possible scores for each screen
This adds minimum and maximum score information for each screen result displayed in the detailed results.
Logo and text
You can select an alternative image to the Owl logo that automatically appears in the results. You can also enter text you want to appear in the field below the Logo selection controls. This can include an HTML links to a web page if you wish.
